Is this right for me?
Laser Hair Removal is suitable for all skin types and most hair types.  You will need to have a consultation so we can share more information and answer any questions you have to determine whether you are suitable for the treatment. If you are suitable for Laser Hair Removal, a patch test will be carried out free of charge on the area to be treated.

Laser Hair Removal treatment can’t go ahead if you have had recent sun exposure within the last 6 weeks or are intending to spend time in the sun in the next 6 weeks. 

What results can I expect?
A course of 8 treatments is recommended every 4 weeks for the face and a course of 6 treatments is recommended for the body every 6-8 weeks to gain a 60%-70% reduction in hair growth. Numbers of treatments varies by the area treated and the individual; some patients may need further treatments after their course.

What is involved?
The Laser Hair Removal procedure can take from several minutes to several hours, depending on the area of the body involved. A gel is applied to the skin and a gentle beam of laser light heats the dermis, instantaneously and permanently disabling a percentage of hair follicles with each treatment. The treatment is virtually painless with no downtime. The hairs will shed within 8-10 days and you would return for your next treatment in 4 weeks for the face and 6-8 weeks for the body.

Aftercare
Following a Laser Hair Removal treatment, patients may occasionally experience a temporary, slight reddening of the skin or localized swelling. Avoid bathing and washing in very hot water and use tepid water instead.

Sunscreen is recommended for any treated areas exposed to sun. Otherwise, there is no downtime associated with this treatment and you can return to normal activities immediately.
